The explosion of agentic AI workflows in 2024-2025 has created genuine demand for reliable, cost-efficient browser automation that doesn't burn tokens on vision models interpreting screenshots. Playwright and Puppeteer are the closest substitutes, but they're raw infrastructure, not products — no clear incumbent has packaged DOM-first automation specifically for AI agent pipelines with the ergonomics that LLM orchestration frameworks expect. The $5k-20k MRR band is plausible for a developer tool at this layer, since teams will pay for reliability and speed improvements that directly reduce their inference costs, but it implies staying small unless enterprise contracts emerge.
