Idea

A lightweight, secure sandbox for running LLM-generated code with sub-100ms latency. Developers need a safe way to execute arbitrary code from AI assistants without container escape risks or slow VM boot times. This solves the security problem for AI agent platforms and coding assistants.

Why this is interesting

The explosion of agentic AI frameworks — LangChain, AutoGen, OpenAI Assistants — has created a genuine infrastructure gap: everyone is generating code, almost nobody has a clean story for executing it safely at scale. E2B is the closest incumbent and has real traction, which simultaneously validates the market and raises the bar for differentiation on latency or pricing. The $10k–$50k MRR band is plausible given infrastructure pricing norms — a few mid-sized AI product teams at $500–$2k/month gets you there — but gross margins will compress fast if you're running microVMs or gVisor-backed sandboxes at volume, so the unit economics only hold if isolation is genuinely lightweight. The single most likely failure mode is that Anthropic, OpenAI, or a cloud provider bundles this natively into their agent runtime, killing willingness to pay before you reach scale.
