AI IDE with Design-to-Code Canvas

Figma's own Dev Mode and the wave of AI code-gen tools (v0, Locofy, Anima) have conditioned the market to expect design-to-code automation, but none of the incumbents sit inside the actual coding environment — they hand off artifacts rather than closing the loop in the editor. V0 by Vercel is the closest threat and has significant distribution, which is the core problem here: competing against a well-funded Vercel product with deep Next.js integration is a real ceiling on growth. The $5k–$20k/mo revenue band is plausible for a niche agency-focused tool on per-seat or project-based pricing, but agencies are notoriously price-sensitive and churn fast when a free alternative improves. The most likely failure mode is that frontier model improvements make the underlying generation capability a commodity before any moat — brand, workflow integration, or proprietary fine-tuning — can be established.
