Idea

Setting up development environments is tedious and error-prone. This tool lets you paste one prompt describing your ideal dev setup, then Claude Code interviews you interactively to refine requirements and automatically installs/configures everything. Target: developers, especially beginners and those switching machines frequently.

Why this is interesting

Anthropic's own push into agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, etc.) has made AI-driven environment setup feel newly plausible, but it's also created a crowded space fast. The closest substitute is Dotbot or a well-configured dotfiles repo, which experienced developers already use and beginners often discover before they'd pay for a SaaS wrapper. The $300–1.5k/mo revenue band is realistic only if this stays a one-time or infrequent purchase, which is the core problem — developers set up machines rarely, so there's no natural recurring hook unless the product expands into config drift detection or team onboarding, which is a different, harder product. The most likely failure mode is that the target user (beginners) won't pay, and the users who would pay (teams, power users) already have solutions they trust.
