Data Breach Checker Dashboard
Users worry if their personal data was exposed in breaches but don't know where to check. A unified dashboard aggregates breach databases and notifies users if their email/phone appears in any known data breach, plus provides remediation steps. Target: privacy-conscious consumers and businesses.
Have I Been Pwned has owned this space for years and Troy Hunt's free tier makes it very hard to justify a paid consumer product on top of the same underlying data. The push toward consumer privacy regulation (GDPR, state-level US laws) and a steady drumbeat of high-profile breaches does create genuine demand, but that demand largely gets satisfied by free tools or identity protection bundles already baked into credit monitoring services like Experian or bank account perks. The $2k–$10k/mo revenue band is plausible only if the product pivots hard toward SMB or HR teams monitoring employee credential exposure, where a seat-based B2B model can actually hold a price. The most likely failure mode is commoditization — the core data sources are public or licensable by anyone, so differentiation collapses to UI polish, which is not a defensible moat.
