Domain Authority Browser Extension
A Chrome extension that displays domain authority/SEO metrics in your toolbar while browsing. Helps marketers quickly qualify link-building prospects, vet guest post offers, and size up competitors without leaving the browser.
Moz's Domain Authority metric has become a default shorthand for site quality across SEO workflows, and link-building teams are under more pressure than ever to move fast as AI-generated content floods the web and raises the stakes for authoritative placements. MozBar is the obvious incumbent and already does much of this, which is the central problem — differentiation has to come from data sources (Ahrefs, Majestic, or composite scoring) or UX, and both require ongoing API costs that compress margins hard. The $1k–5k/mo revenue band is plausible only with a freemium-to-paid conversion targeting agencies and power users who need bulk prospecting, since individual SEOs won't pay much for something MozBar gives away. The most likely failure mode is API cost creep: Ahrefs and Moz license fees scale with usage and can easily outpace subscription revenue at this tier before the user base is large enough to negotiate better rates.
