Sweetpad – VS Code Extension for iOS/Swift Development

Swift development has been stuck in Xcode for over a decade, but Apple's gradual improvement of Swift Package Manager and the LSP-based sourcekit-lsp have finally made editor-agnostic tooling viable — that's the real timing unlock here. Sweetpad actually exists and has traction as an open-source project, so the question isn't whether to build it but whether to monetize it, which means the competitive risk is the project itself staying free forever. The $500–2k/mo band is realistic only through a paid tier (cloud builds, team features, device management shortcuts), but iOS developers are notoriously tool-conservative and many will just tolerate Xcode rather than pay for a workaround.
